Obesity is a condition characterized by excessive body fat and poses risk serious risk to the health of an individual. Obesity is diagnosed when a person’s Body Mass Index (BMI) is 30 or higher. People who are obese usually find basic activities like walking, running or jogging difficult and excruciating.  Although it is preventable and treatable, it is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S according to W.H.O. obesity increases the risk of diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases, arthritis, breast, ovarian, kidney and gall stones, and liver cancer.

  1. Hoodia (Hoodia Gordonii): This ancient herb is very useful for inducing satiety and suppressing the need to more (overeating) which is a common attribute of obese patients.
